Isabelle Doran, CEO of the Association of Photographers,
says of the AOP Open Awards, "This year's Open Award has
attracted a wide and diverse range of entries from all ages,
which is heartening to see. While several finalists' entries pay
close attention to the compositional aesthetic of the abstract,
the role that faith, rituals and belief plays in cohesive societies
as key themes comes through strongly amongst many of our
finalists' submissions, reflecting a shared interest in
communicating a visual narration of the human spirit."
Lauren Drage, Marketing Manager at Fujifilm UK
commented,”Fujifilm are thrilled to sponsor the AOP Open
Photography Award in 2025. As a brand we are passionate
about celebrating creativity, innovation as well as nurturing
talent at all levels in the photography field. We are incredibly
proud to support this award which welcomes applications
from both professional and amateur photographers and the
images entered this year have been outstanding.
Congratulations to all the finalists!”
Now in its 19th year, the Open Award is a popular competition
attracting entries from across the world. With no categories or
themes in this competition, the choice of work submitted is
entirely up to the photographer and can be personal or
commissioned. As in previous years, stills, moving image, and the
creative use of technologies and innovations in the production of
works created by a person are accepted, although AI produced
images are not. All images must have been created on or after 1
January 2024.
