THE LAKE DISTRICT, WINDERMERE
As a fashion photographer living in Manchester, I always love escaping to the great outdoors.
Being in Manchester, I'm so fortunate to be surrounded by nature — the Peak District, the Lakes,
North Wales Snowdonia region. Most of the time it's for hiking and walking, but this summer I
found myself wanting to join two of my passions. So I grabbed my digital and medium format
film cameras, arranged a shoot, and went. Not only does it give me the joy of being in wonderful
locations, but these projects also allow me to perfect my medium format film camera skills.
I first used a Mamiya camera when I studied at MMU — a twin lens box, a beautiful camera I loved
using. So after years of working in a professional world, digital only, I decided to return to the
medium I loved. Last November I bought a beautiful medium format film camera Mamiya, and
I'm super happy with my process today.
So I wanted to share my latest personal project, shot in the Lake District, Windermere, on a very
hot afternoon. It's where my fashion photography meets the landscape I love so much.
