New industrial shoot for Verne in Iceland and Finland
It was an absolute privilege to work on the photography for
Verne’s refreshed brand, commissioned
by Cheil. By capturing the architecture, environment,
infrastructure and the people at work, I was
asked to show how nature and technology coexist to shape
the foundation of Verne’s data centres
and reflect Verne’s identity – a Nordic and Northern
European platform designing, developing and
operating low-carbon, high-density data centres for AI and
high-performance computing.
Over four days, we braved the elements to photograph two
of Verne’s data centres based in Iceland
and Finland in freezing temperatures. I worked side-by-side
with Creative Director, Nick Spink, to
decide on the best approach for each photograph and
ensure we tell the true story of Verne. We were
also accompanied by the client, who gave us an in depth
understanding of Verne and both data
centres, allowing us to create well-informed photographs.

The result is a cohesive portfolio of photographs that tell
the story of Verne.
This shoot wouldn’t have been achievable without such a
brilliant (and hardy!) team. Thank you to
everyone involved and thank you to Cheil, and Verne for
entrusting me to tell your story.
