2026 AOP STARTING OUT
Friday 17 July 2026, E1 Studios, Whitechapel, London
With over 170 tickets issued, this year’s AOP Starting Out event and 2026 AOP Student Awards exhibition was a huge
success and was a busy, buzzing day packed with workshops, talks, free folio reviews and more from the moment the
doors opened.
Out thanks to all our speakers and sponsors for supporting such a worthwhile event - and huge thanks to all the
participating students. Whther AOP Student Award finalists or not there was some exceptional talent in the room.
Definitely some names to watch out for!
Following a full programme during the day, 2026 AOP Student Awards winners were also announced in the evening.
The AOP Starting Out programme offers photography graduates, students and those in the early stages of their
career the opportunity to experience the professional working side of the industry. With the support of leading
photographers and names within the industry, these sessions will provide practical knowledge and insights for you to
start your photography career. Covering all the business basics including invoicing to licensing and contracts, as well
as practical advice for those considering starting out as an Assistant Photographer.
