CONEY BEACH
The first image is all silence. Rusted rides face the sea, their colours fading beneath a grey Welsh sky.
For 107 years, CONEY BEACH held the laughter of generations, from the miners fortnight tradition begun
in 1918 to countless family summers by the shore. Closed in October 2025 and awaiting demolition, these
derelict buildings become portraits of absence.
The sea remembers what the steel cannot, echoes of joy, carried forever on the tide. Each photograph
becomes a quiet eulogy, where peeling painted abandoned paths holds the ghosts of summer that
shaped families for more than a century
